These gears are modeled after the upgraded 2011 KTM Gears. Never have a failure again. They only fit XC-W/ EXC KTM Models. Does not fit XCF/SXF models!
I have seen way too many of the stock plastic gears fail in these engines and decided to have these made. They have been tested in my team race bikes and customer bikes for over 6 years without any issues.
Problem with the plastic gears is if you run low on oil at one time the oil pumps start to seize up and then the large gear is stripped out where it meets the clutch basket. Once it strips out your engine will run without any oil pumping until the crank, piston, and cylinder is destroyed. With these upgraded KTM 400/450/530 EXC/ XCW gears you will at least get signs and notice your engine slowing before it is completely destroyed.
This kit comes with large and small gears along with a new clutch cover gasket for additional cost if needed and instructions. You do need to have good mechanical knowledge to install these gears.
Gasket option is only for KTM Models.
This is what happens when your KTM 450/530 EXC/XCW Oil Pump Gear Fails. Not to mention the crank is gone too causing this top end damage. Normally about $2500 in repairs. Fix the issue before it happens!
